Toyota Corollas known for their practicality, not for stylish looks. However, the 2017 Corolla LE can attract attention with features like standard Bi-LED headlights and available 17-in. alloy wheels. The VW Jetta in this regard is somewhat behind, being focused more in performance aspects.
Due to its greater rear head- and legroom, backseat passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Toyota Corolla than the Volkswagen Jetta. Offering just a little more front head- and legroom than the Volkswagen Jetta, the Toyota Corolla may be a little roomier and more comfortable for the driver and front seat passengers.
Both vehicles come with a plethora of features including a CD player, cruise control, backup camera and steering wheel mounted controls. The Corolla comes out on top with standard Bluetooth, voice activated controls and a remote fuel filler door release, which are not available on the Jetta.
As we can see from the chart above, the 2017 Toyota Corolla and the 2017 VW Jetta offer quite similar performance capabilities. Lets dive deeper into this. Fuel efficiency is an important point, and as you may see Corolla shows slightly better results on city streets, than Jetta. Difference is not big enough on a first glance, but it adds up. Not to mention Corolla’s standart CVT, which is much better than base 5-speed manual and available 6-speed automatic of the 2017 VW Jetta.
When it comes to safety, both the Corolla and the Jetta are designed to keep drivers and passengers protected at all times. Both models are set standard with anti-theft protection, child safety door locks, low tire pressure indicators and stability control. The Corolla has standard front knee airbags that are not available on the Jetta.
