Toyota sales have been on the rise this year, and July was no exception. Indeed, Toyota saw its car sales increase by 5.3 percent while hybrid vehicle sales climbed an impressive 11.7 percent. A total of 18,961 units were sold last month, an increase of 3.8 percent compared with 2016.
The Toyota division specifically saw its sales jump to 16,943 units, an increase of 3.4 percent compared with the same month in 2016. These strong sales numbers are certainly encouraging for Toyota, especially given that the Japanese automaker will be able to count on the all-new and completely redesigned Camry to boost sales even more so over the next few months.
Notable highlights in July include Toyota Yaris sales which jumped 34.9 %, and Toyota Corolla sales that were up 8.5 %. The 2017 Toyota Highlander midsize SUV saw its sales increase by 24.7 percent to finish at 1,322 units.
